.What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
Counselling is for simple problems and goals and is short term therapy. The training is shorter than that for a psychotherapist.
Psychotherapy is for in-depth or long-established issues. Patterns in relationship, habits, behaviours, problems that have been present for many years. Psychotherapy is a long term approach to change. Psychotherapists undertake is in-depth training at the MSc level which may take over 4/5 years of training. All therapists have mandatory CPD, and Supervision to maintain ethical boundaries, regulation, confidentiality, and code of conduct.
What happens at the first session?
At our first session, we get to know each other, some basic information, explore what you are struggling with and what you would like to change. We can also begin to get to know how we can best work together and what is important to you. We can have an outline for what you would like to gain from our sessions or we can have an open-ended contract arrangement for sessions.
How often would I need to have sessions?
It is normal to have sessions on a weekly basis. If we meet less frequently it becoems difficult to develop our working alliance, trust and knowledge as well as developing your goals. It can taek very much long and also seem like you are not moving forward.
How many session will I need?
Counselling sessions are agreed together to reach a goal or specific outcome, this may be 8 weeks or longer.
If you just want to be heard and talk thought an issue one session can be very helpful.

When are you clinics open?
Monday to Friday. Some mornings from 7.30am. Some evening until 20.30 Daytimes too.
Where are you clinics?
I have clinics are in Central London and Beckenham:
South Molten Street a short walk from Bond Street Underground station on the Jubilee and Central Line.
Triyoga Soho a short walk from Oxford Circus Underground station on the Central, Victoria, and Bakerloo Lines.
Beckenham and South East London. A short walk from the local station and bus stops.
Do you offer Skype/ Online sessions?
Yes. Please contact me by email with details of what you would like help with.
All online sessions are paid in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Counselling and Psychotherapy sessions are booked well in advance at a set time on a weekly basis. That time is reserved for you for the duration of your sessions. This makes sure that your session is always available for you. You can rely on the stability of that time, the same place for our session.
If you need to cancel I will need at least 48 hours' notice. Please inform me of any holidays or work trips, 1 month in advance.
